- 2. What is the MTP?

The MiraWorx Therapeutic Plan is a comprehensive system of addiction and dependency treatments that recognize the patients’ needs as key parts of successful recovery. By combining outpatient intervention with personalized support sessions we optimize the chances of a successful recovery. We have developed the MTP to deal with all aspects of dependency or addiction.

- 4. What is addiction?

Addiction is defined as the compulsive need for and use of a habit-forming substance characterized by tolerance and by well-defined psychological symptoms upon withdrawal.
- 6. What is Suboxone?

Suboxone is the first opioid (typically painkillers) medication approved under DATA 2000 for the treatment of opioid dependence in an office-based setting. Suboxone may be used to reduce illicit opioid use and help clients stay in treatment by suppressing the symptoms of opioid withdrawal and decrease cravings for opioids.
- 7. What is Vivitrol?

Vivitrol is an injectable medicine for the treatment of alcohol dependence in adults 18 years and older. When combined with counseling Vivitrol may help reduce the number of days you drink each month and the number of drinks consumed.
- 8. What are the signs and symptoms of drug addiction?

- Inability to relax or have fun without doing drugs
- Sudden changes in work or school attendance and quality of work or grades
- Frequently borrowing money, selling possessions, or stealing items from employer, home, or school
- Angry outbursts, mood swings, irritability, manic behavior, or overall attitude change
- Talking incoherently or making inappropriate remarks
- Deterioration of physical appearance and grooming
- Wearing sunglasses and/or long sleeve shirts frequently or at inappropriate times
- No longer spending time with friends who don’t use drugs and/or associating with known users
- Engaging in secretive or suspicious behaviors, such as making frequent trips to the restroom, basement, or other isolated areas where drug use would be undisturbed
- Talking about drugs all the time and pressuring others to use
- Expressing feelings of exhaustion, depression, and hopelessness
- Using drugs first thing in the morning
- 9. What are the warning signs of teen drug use?

- Negative changes in schoolwork, missing school, or declining grades
- Increased secrecy about possessions or activities
- Use of incense, room deodorant, or perfume to hide smoke or chemical odors
- Subtle changes in conversations with friends (secretive or coded language)
- Increase in borrowing money
- Evidence of drug paraphernalia, such as pipes and rolling papers
- Evidence of inhaling products and accessories, such as hairspray
- 10. What is the cost?

The cost is dependent on the substance being used and treatment program put together with the patient and the physician. The amount is dramatically cheaper than inpatient facilities, but a consultation would be needed with a doctor to determine the actual cost for each patient.
